On March 10, 2020, the Prime Minister convened an expanded meeting of the social partnership, followed by which held a joint press conference involving the Prime Minister of Barbados, the Honourable Mia Amor Mottley, QC, MP; the Official Opposition in Parliament, represented by Bishop Joseph Atherley, MP; the second-largest opposition political block (represented by the Leader of the Democratic Labour Party, Ms. Verla Depeizer), representatives of the Labour movement (represented by Mrs. Toni Moore ) the Private Sector (represented by Mr. Edward Clarke); the Health Sector (represented by the Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anton Best) and; the Church (represented by Divisional Commander of the Salvation Army Major Darrell Wilkinson).
